Just squeezing in the first one of the weekend.
It must be that time of year ... one of my friends has just got engaged although she is in Oz for the next 3 months! I've had a number of wedding card orders recently... and there are plenty of card challenges with a wedding theme.
It must be that time of year ... one of my friends has just got engaged although she is in Oz for the next 3 months! I've had a number of wedding card orders recently... and there are plenty of card challenges with a wedding theme.
The last few days I've been entering lots of challenges as it's so lovely to get comments from visitors and it gives me lots of inspiration. So here is a wedding card for a friend at work's brother which is based on the Stamptacular Sunday Sketch challenge.
I have gone with an easle card design as I think cards look so much more luxury standing up. There are two tones of cream Colour Co-ordinations card and some gold shimmer card used for the panels.
I have embossed the cream squares using a bouquet stamp and clear embossing powder, although the photo's don't really show this very well - you can just make out the diamantes that I have stuck onto each of the flowers.
The wedding couple stamp is from Hobby Art and one that I have had for years - it still gets a lot of use!
I used a Stampasaurus template to draw round and cut out the scalloped ovals and mounted the name tag and main panel onto gold mirror card and have then used one of the petals of a flower punch on the corners.
The date panel was punched with a Martha Stewart punch and mounted onto gold mirror card and then fixed with sticky pads.
There are some co-ordinating diamantes stuck to the centre of the flowers and I've finished off the date panel with a gold butterfly peel off.
This card has also been entered into the following challenges:
Our Vintage Affair - 'wedding'
Creative Inspirations Paint - 'weddings'
Stamp N Doodle - 'love and/or romance'
Simon Says - 'anything goes'
