Penny black

I've been saving this card up for the Penny Black challenges, but keep forgetting to check to see if it is appropriate for the latest challenge.  So instead I am just sharing it with you for this scheduled post as it seems a shame to leave it to wait for another day.  The Penny Black stamps are fantastic as they have some many different images in each set and very reasonably prices.  I've coloured this one with markers and mounted in on a variety of card stocks and finished off with some ribbon and a peel off sentiment.  I'm not sure what occasion this suits but I sent it to a friend on their anniversary... hopefully they liked it as much as I do.

Ooh it's almost October, which means I will be back soon - see you then x

The stamp has been coloured with water colour pencils, mounted on mirror card and then set on the rest of the background, which is just cardstock.

Gardening guy

I seem to have saved up all the male cards for the recent posts.  Another quick card today I'm afraid as time is short.  This one includes a wooden embellishment which is so cute.  I've then punches some black cardstock with a scalloped punch and mounted this above some DSP from the male Forever Friends pack.  Simple by I really like it :).

21st Football

My posts have been a little sporadic of late... mainly because I have scheduled a few whilst I am off on holiday in Eastern Europe.  It's been a while since I had a proper holiday...
Today's card was created for a friends son.  All I had to go on was a blue themed football card for a 21st, no team details so I just went with something that co-ordinated and kept it simple.  The DSP is from the Forever Friends male pack and the footballs were cut from leftover wrapping paper that I had saved for a time like this.

The stamp which is one of my favourites for male cards comes from the It's a Mans World by Papermania... you can adapt it for a rugby theme too and there are lots of different sporting bits included in the set, so endless options.

Another 10 days until I return... so more scheduled posts to follow in a few days.

Cats and dogs

Todays card is a take on another card that I created for some swaps at my last training social event.  I absolutely love the Every Little Bit stamp set from Stampin' Up! as there are so many ideas you can create from the numerous little stamps.  This card features the dog and cat in an anniversary theme.  The papers and cardstock are all Stampin' Up! products and very similar to my other card posted here.

Quick card

With little time to schedule posts whilst I am away, I also had little time to make any cards to fulfil a backlog of orders.  Here is a quick card using some stickers which I have mounted onto card and raised with a sticky pad to give it some dimension.  The papers are from a card making magazine that I got free at a craft show, so all in all a very quick and cheap card to make.  No diamantes this time as it's a male card - so I used some Candi from Craftworks instead to embellish this one.

Present

Here is a little gift card from a batch I made for one of my mums friends.  I got the idea from a tutorial on Sue Bayliss site after seeing one that Amy posted on hers sometime ago.
Very easy to make and idea for money or a gift card.  I like the way Sue has created a ribbon bow from oval punches... but as I don't have those I just used a piece of ribbon.

I'm off on my travels once again on Friday so will be radio silent for 3 weeks.  I have scheduled a couple of posts to keep anyone who is reading going... but not many.

Cute dog

Tonight I thought I would share with you a card made from some free papers that Papercraft Inspirations magazine did sometime ago.  They are still available on their site and include several of the Daisy & Dandelion range decoupage sheets.  I've used the very cute dog on this card which has then been decorated with a pink panel edged with a border punch and diamantes :).

Flowers

Today, a card inspired by my love of Stampin' Up! products!  I've used one of the stamps from the Just Believe stamp set and stamped it 3 times before mounting onto the background panel and card base.  A very quick card to make using a very popular stamp.

I am off on my travels at the end of the week so the posts are going to be limited whilst I am away, unless I have time to schedule a few to post whilst I am gone.  Must get organised first... need to think about packing first :(.

Thank you butterflies

I made this card for a friend who gave me lots of crafty bits for my birthday last month.  The butterfly on top of the large butterfly is a pre cut/glittered shape that comes in a pack of 5.  The other butterflies are cut using a leftover stencil from a Sizzix die (I don't own the die itself yet!).
The DSP is from the Capsule Collection and the pack includes some beautiful papers all in the same colour tones... and of course purples and pinks are my favourtie :).

With 3 butterfly dies I've entered this card into the Crafty Creations Challenge - 'dies & punches'.

Gardening in the rain

I made this card the other day whilst it was raining a lot... The image is cut from fabric that I picked up in a bargain bin somewhere.  I've seen fabric quares used a lot on patchwork and quilting ideas so thought I would try it out on a card and am quite pleased with the result.
